ABOUT ME

Hey there! I'm a former CS host in Manhattan. I work in real estate finance. I like running in the park, sailing, surfing, snowboarding, or going to new restaurants or bars.

I'm a healthy eater and I'm into fitness. I do bikram (hot) yoga and I've run 2 marathons. I'm also into anything outdoorsy (hiking, rock-climbing, ski trips, etc).

I like traveling because I like putting myself in other peoples' shoes. I like learning other languages and customs, and like to practice my Spanish. I can afford hotels but I prefer the cultural exchange which in some cases has turned into years-long friendships.

I've been to Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, Germany, Amsterdam (Netherlands), Turkey, Australia, New Zealand, Mali (Africa), Beijing, Hong Kong, London, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, India, Nepal, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, Israel, Iceland, Costa Rica, Haiti, Barbados, Aruba, the British Virgin Islands, and the list keeps growing.

PHILOSOPHY

I want a taste of everything, from the high life, to the many social issues of the world. You cannot judge what you don't understand. I always welcome new perspectives.

I work hard, play hard, and give back. Success only leads to happiness if it's shared.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted many people in the past, but cannot currently host (except for my former hosts and guests). I try to reach out to local CS'ers when I travel, even if it's just to meet for an afternoon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I heard about this site from my friend who owned the hostel and decided to bring the world to my doorstep and start hosting. I still keep in touch with some of my guests.
