About Me

ABOUT ME

that I'm nature loving, slightly creative, slightly crazy, but pretty much just down to earth and laid back. I'm a little quite until you hit a topic that I'm fascinated with and then I'm all bright eyes and intensity.

PHILOSOPHY

treat others how you want to be treated and try to live with an open heart.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting new people. Staying in a hotel is so boring and a little too boxing for me. With coach surfing I get to met new interesting people and experience new things in different ways that I wouldn't have, and be apart of a community bigger than myself.

Interests

Hiking, climbing, eating, drinking, dancing, science, listening to music and checking out art.

Music, Movies, and Books

For music: Jazz, Bonobo, Radio Head, Bjork (I'm pretty open in the music department I pretty much listen to everything but have remembering the names). For books: Never Cry Wolf, Organic Gardening, Wild (pretty much nature books, hard science books and sociology books).. as far as movies go I like documentaries, Ted talk and indie films

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

working at Green Flamingo Farm in Florida where I grew my own food and slept under the stars. It was pretty awesome to be that in touch with the land.

living in Ocean City with people from Ireland Scotland and whales and learning their catch phrases.

Traveled crossed country from MD to Ca and then up to Wa and then back. Where I did some wilderness hiking, volunteered at protest and worked in the Mendocino Forest along with visiting as many of the national forest as possible.

Teach, Learn, Share

ask me about the environment or science and i might be able to tell you a few things

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like cooking meals and often travel with a whole basket of food just so i can cook food for me and my new friend. feels like a nice way of saying thank you =)
