I am retired, 71 years old, married to Don, who is a retired junior high and elementary teacher. We have traveled on a lot of cruises, mostly to Europe and the Caribbean. We enjoy meeting new people and have hosted many Rotary Youth Exchange Students whom we have been lucky enough to visit in their home countries.

We enjoy meeting new people and widening our knowledge of cultures with these experiences. We recently tried airbnbs and enjoyed this very much. Hopefully we are helping people experience the world by using Couchsurfing.

Intereses

I enjoy the creative process of planning quilts. Love good food and am a pretty good cook, best at soups! Favorite book right now is "The Nightengale" by Kristin Hannah, and I like most of her books. I am reading "You before Me" right now.
Don likes to bike and work out, enjoys oldies and real country music and conversation, as well as gardening. We have 8 grandchildren, and 5 of them are very involved in club and school sports, which we follow closely.

Country music. We hardly ever go to the movies, but enjoy mostly PBS shows, like Downton Abbey, Doc Martin, etc. Don likes history and historical books and novels.

I made it through 5 hip surgeries in a year, 8 months in a w/c and with Don's help I walk pretty normally now.

We live a quiet life but have an avid interest in others and their travels. We can share our home and simple meals.
