Overview
About Me
Since I can remember I've had a passion for travel. I love the of thrill of trying something new, experiencing another cultures and forging new friendships all over the world. Born in Canada, I took my first overseas at age 13 as an exchange student in France. Since them have been hooked and have taken every opportunity to live and travel abroad. I spent 2 years living and working in the UK and Ireland, a year studying in Cape Town and lived in Australia for 5 years where I worked in Community Engagement. Recently my husband I spent 8 months backpacking through Southeast Asia, and have moved to Madagascar where we plan on spending our next few years.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me travel is not about luxury accommodation and resorts. It is about immersing yourself in the culture around you, and making connections as you explore the world. To be rewarding, travel doesn't have to be expensive. The best travel advise comes from a local and Couchsurfing opens up these opportunities.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite book is a Fine Balance by Rohintonan Mistry. It is an amazing portrayal of life in India (a country I have yet to visit, but aspire to one day soon!)
What I Can Share with Hosts
To my hosts I can bring an open attitude and a willingness to embrace their culture and share my own. I am a respectful and polite guest that will not encroach on their generosity of having me as a guest.
