ABOUT ME

I am a friendly person, always ready to meet new people and experience new things. I am a dedicated student and am working towards my PhD in art conservation. I am a student at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire but am here in Florence, Italy for the year to study art conservation. I am a quiet person and usually like to travel alone so I can determine my destinations and activities. While I am here in Europe I am trying to travel as much as possible. I have already been to Sicily, Norway, and Spain.

PHILOSOPHY

I guess my personal philosophy is still developing and I am sure will continue to change throughout my life. I live for my family and friends, and also for my art.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had one great experience in Paris just this past January. My host was wonderful and it was so nice to have a great place to come home to!

Interests

Some of my interests include: art, reading, animals, hiking, canoeing, cooking, traveling, cross-country skiing, and horseback riding.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a huge Jane Austen fan and I also love anything BBC or Masterpiece Theater. I love movies and love action, drama, romance, crime, and historical.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing thing recently was climbing MT Etna in Sicily. It was an amazing experience and I only wish it's latest eruption had happened while I was there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a lot of practical knowledge and also am an experienced pianist and organist. I also love to cook, bake and sew.
