Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After a lot of people told me how great it is to travel that way I thought I'd give it a try. Because I was a bit insecure though I decided to take a friend with similar thoughts about it.
And it was amazing. To meet so many different people, hear their stories, being welcomed into homes it was incredible. Also everybody has a different take on things so everybody has their own favorite place and I got shown buildings, parks and views - I mean literally viewing platforms, that as a regular tourist you would never come across.

Interests

Well outside of traveling ...
I love to read - it started when I was a little child - my parents had to read to me until I memorized all the words - as soon as I was actually able to read for myself I never stopped. And I still love reading and my taste I think has never really changed - I love fantasy and from time to time also children's books - they were a big help when I decided I needed to improve my English.
Other interests are playing the guitar and am currently learning to play the mandolin.
In winter I like to go snowboarding or to cosy up on the couch with a cup of tea a friend and my knitting gear.
I also love going out with friends whether it's for a coffee or a beer (or two).
Or just inviting them for a meal ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I like to think that the one amazing thing in my life is not something that I´ve done but something that I will do, like my big trip after graduation.
And I am sure I will think of something after that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you the basic techniques of playing the guitar.
Also my cooking is quite good - whether you want me to cook a nice meal or if you want to know something about typical Austrian cooking, which by the way is really good.
I want to learn whatever anyone has to offer because even things you haven't given a thought before might turn out to be really interesting.
