ABOUT ME

I was born in Taiwan, but came to live in the US when I was 9. I love to travel, dance, read, cook, and listen to music. I am spontaneous and adventurous, but I am horrified of snakes. I am a good listener and I love to socialize and meet different people. I believe that people should try harder to recycle so we can live in a cleaner environment and plan for the future.

PHILOSOPHY

Be optimistic! Life is too short to be otherwise. Worrying about things causes stress, which is the cause of many bad things. "Don't worry, be happy!"

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy meeting couch surfers from around the world by attending local activities, organized by the Baltimore group of couch surfers. I seek out other Couch surfers when I travel when I am not surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met so many amazing people from around the world and in my home town. CS has brought me together with some very interesting people.
I surfed with a couple of fabulous hosts in Hawaii. I also met up with CSers from around the world while I surfed in Hawaii. For sure, my life is richer from my CS experience.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I love all types of music, books, and movies. My 12 year old daughter keeps me interested in current pop artists like Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Pea, Fallout Boys, Katy Perry, Usher, Eminem, etc....I love to dance so any music that's danceable is alright with me.
I enjoy reading various books from my book
club. I like historical fictions, mysteries, and memoirs. Once in awhile, a romance is nice too.
I use to work in the movie theater so I have an appreciation for any types of film. I'm always ready to see a movie with friends or family.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I'll always remember snorkeling at Grand Cayman and being in the same area with two nurse sharks, plus swimming with the sting rays was invigorating. Did I mention that I can't swim well? I'm somewhat hydrophobic since I almost drowned twice when I was young. So it's a great accomplishment that I was swimming and snorkeling at all!
Walked along a stretch of 3 mile long beach in Molokai, with no one in sight. But with the wind at 40 miles/hour, I endured some sand burns! But it was so serene and amazing.
I stayed in a house that was very environmentally friendly- everything was compostable! I'll tell you about it if I ever meet you.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I am a good cook (at least that's what people tell me) so I can show you how to stir fry or make pesto sauce.
I love to hear people's stories or experiences from their travel. Since I can't travel everywhere, I can live vicariously through your travel. I also like to participate in various cultural events.
I speak Mandarin Chinese so I can practice
with you if there's interest. I can read but not write Chinese though.
