I'm a US-American who has lived in Germany for more than 3 years as an English teacher. I'm also pursuing my master's degree in Linguistics and currently live with my boyfriend and our dog in Berlin. I believe in the mission of Couchsurfing to facilitate intercultural interaction and understanding while sharing our resources. These days many people rely on hotels and tourist guides to travel, but it can be way more fun to stay with a local and have a unique experience!

My hobbies are reading books (memoirs, politics/social justice, fiction), playing/listening to music (punk, rock, electronic, goth/industrial, metal), having awesome conversations over good food and beer and learning new languages. I love watching and talking about movies - I like everything from drama to cheesy 80s flicks to scifi/fantasy to horror. I play the piano and guitar, and also love animals! I'm a vegetarian but I don't mind if you eat meat when you stay with me.
