ABOUT ME

I was born in Switzerland, grew up in Sweden, outside Stockholm. I spent a semester in Freiburg, Germany where I truly had the time of my life!
After that a friend of mine and I took up our back-packs and left for New Zealand, where we spent a semester travelling and working. Beautiful country! Then I've spent four years in rainy Edinburgh, one semester in Göttingen, Germany, one semester in Lincoln, New Zealand, and have spent a year in Falun, Sweden, and am now back in Switzerland.

I love adventure and challenges of all sorts! I love travelling and meeting people from different cultures and countries - hostels I sometimes think must be the best places on Earth because of all the different people you meet. I'd like to learn more languages, which hopefully I'll have time to do very soon.

Now I have lived in Zürich for 1,5 years and love it - come and visit!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've began CouchSurfing in 2007 and have since surfed couches in Copenhagen and Göttingen. Loved it! Have hosted and met CS people from different countries a couple of times in Edinburgh, which was awesome fun too. Have also been hosting here in Zurich.

Interessen

I love nature (canoeing, hiking etc), music (anything really, depends on my mood), playing the guitar, cocktails and travelling!
Fast becoming a rugby fanatic too....

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Movies: Lord of the rings, Fluke, Sällskapsresan 2, Kopps, Little miss sunshine.
Music: I listen to melody club, silversun pickups, mat kearney, and luke hurley at the moment.....gotta love music!
Books: Hmmm....I read too much, anything I get get a hold of. I am reading the triologies by Robin Hobb now.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I've climbed a mountain in New Zealand, Mt. Luxmore. Not very large, but I did it, alone and in a weather that later evolved to be a snowstorm. Sadly, because of the fog, I didn't really get a good picture of it....so I better do it all again in the future :p

Another crazy thing that happened not too long ago. I organised a trip up to Inverness with the German Society of which I was President, and one day we decided to go to Loch Ness and find the Loch Ness Monster. It was in late October, it was windy, rainy and very cold, but I had decided to swim in the lake. Only one other guy out of the group of 15 people decided to swim with me. And swim we did, in our underwear (he decided in the end not to wear anything at all, which was rather funny, especially since someone had the presence of mind to film it...). After that very chilling dip in the cold cold loch we went to the nearest pub. It was fun!
