About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Human Biology

ABOUT ME

I have been travelling most of my life. Due to my dad's job I have been moving to a new place every three or four years. (Friends of mine have nicknamed me "Nomad-child" or "Cosmopolitan" as I have lived in USA, Romania, Denmark, Germany, Namibia and Poland) My "unrooted" childhood has made me absolutely restles- I love travelling and use every chance I get to go out and explore the world. For the last 15 months I lived and worked in Bissau for the Bandim Health Project, working on a HIV vaccine study as well as building capacity for performing clinical research in Guinea Bissau. It was an amazing year, with many new experiences and wonderful people that I miss a lot.

Now I am back in Copenhagen and will start my studies in Human Biology at the University of Copenhagen, which I am also really excited about.

PHILOSOPHY

I learned what every dreaming child needs to know - that no horizon is so far that you cannot get beyond it or above it -Beryl Markham-

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Even though I am new to this community and have not hosted or couch-surfed through this portal I have been travelling this way for a long time, visiting my friends who are well distributed around the world. It is an amazing way to travel and I am looking forward to gaining wonderful experiences and most importantly new friendships.

Interests

I enjoy sports such as jogging, swimming in the nearby swimming pool and occasionally playing tennis. I play the clarinet but am too shy to play for anyone but myself ;) I like cooking (especially spicy and/or Indian food), enjoy listening to the radio, reading books, meeting, chatting and partying with friends I absolutely love travelling meeting new people and experiencing new cultures.
I am in love with Africa!
