Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Constantly seeking to gain a better understanding of the world.
ABOUT ME
I am Christophe. I studied sociology and french at Oberlin College in Ohio, USA and graduated in 2015. Since September 2015 I have been living and working in Perpignan, France as an English language assistant in two primary schools.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that one of the most important aspects of living is having a certain degree of passion, for the little things and the big things. And perhaps even more importantly, having compassion. Sharing the experience of living is what makes us human. It's what keeps us going.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am hoping to stay with lovely people, engage in meaningful discussion, share culture, create new experiences. (I am happy to help with cooking, cleaning, and anything else!)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed several times before, and loved it.
Interests
I am fascinated by the process of language acquisition throughout various stages of life. I love most kinds of music, ranging from classical to alternative/indie. I love leafing through old photo albums, reading french books, people-watching, meeting people, stupid TV shows, thinking about the meaning of existence, listening to stories and oral histories, traveling, cooking.

Teach, Learn, Share
I could certainly talk about: Social Justice issues in America and beyond, the American South, the role of sociology in everyday life, affordable housing.
What I'd like to learn about: The French justice system, immigration in Western Europe, how to cook better, handy skills.
