About Me
Hello!
My name is Christophe. I'm a French-Venezuelan New Yorker currently based in Mysore, India, practicing hatha yoga daily and working on a novel in my spare time. I left my hometown almost two years ago to pursue my yoga training here, and in the meantime, I've travelled to Nepal twice, trekking the Annapurna Circuit and the Langtang Valley; Sri Lanka for a month; lived in Berlin, Germany and Tours, France for two months respectively; and hopped around London, Valencia, Hamburg and Cologne in between. It was an oddly busy 2017 with lots of surprises and I'm hopping to continue the trend this year. I'm passionate about movies, architecture, music and food. Currently enjoying re-watching Inherent Vice by P.T. Anderson; listening to Mr. Fingers; admiring the rajput architecture in Mysore and exploring Karnatakan cuisine by cooking different sambars daily. That sorta sums it up!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hi! I'm looking to branch out of the hostel/hotel world and into something different. This is my first time couch surfing, and I'm looking to meet new people and share local experiences. In the next few months, I'll be traveling through North-East India, Delhi, Varanasi and Kolkata and hope to make new friendships along the way! Peace!

Music, Movies, and Books
I can listen to Kendrick Lamar on repeat; Willie Colón, Metallica, Bad Brains, Giorgio Moroder, Wynton Marsalis.
I can always re-watch The Shining, any P.T. Anderson, but especially There Will Be Blood & The Master; Pulp Fiction & The Godfather.
Currently reading "Its vont tuer Robert Kennedy" by M. Dugain. I remember being enraptured by Crime and Punishment, Germinal, The Feast of the Goat, 2666. I recently re-read For whom the bell tolls which was pretty great.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Canoed around the "Eye of Quebec," a ring shaped reservoir in Northern Canada. It was one of the most harrowing and incredibly beautiful experiences I've ever had. Someday I will add to this box some kind of humanitarian endeavor.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm happy to say that I can now teach yoga, but of course, I can always keep learning more from others.
I can also throw down in a kitchen and love to share culture and history through food and film.

I can probably also share a lot of info about the places that I've visited.
