About Me

My name's Christophe, friends and family call me Chris or Risto (my Finnish name). I've lived pretty much all my life in Belgium, one year in Barcelona, one year in Helsinki and currently I'm living in Brussels with my wife Neda. I think of myself as a chilled out person, helpful to others, always trying my best to cheer up people... I love exchanging stories, anecdotes with everyone, meeting new people is one of the greatest things in life!Travelling is a huge thing for me, I want to discover more and more...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new faces, help people who are in need of a free place so they can travel easily and obviously make new friends! I also think that staying at someone's place in any city is the best way to get to know their home city. That way you get tips for beautiful places to visit, the best food cooked on the spot, etc... It's about the little things in life!

Interests

I love football (Chelsea fan), watching movies, travelling, delicious food, just have a walk outside...

Music, Movies, and Books

From chillout electro to instrumental, reggae to jazz, I love music in general! Music is so important in my life...

I'm a big fan of cinema, yet again it's difficult to say my favourite ones... Just to name a few: Pulp Fiction, Irreversible, Perfect Sense, Fight Club, Requiem for a Dream, Old Boy, Spirited Away, The Song of the Sea, ...

My all time favourite book is The Solitaire Mystery from Jostein Gaarder, my father read it to me when I was younger for the first time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Me and my wife Neda love to cook for our hosts, she's also from Iran and make heavenly dishes! Our philosophy is "Mi casa es su casa", so we want you to feel comfortable the moment you step in our place! So make yourself at home, no need to be "too" polite, just be yourself with us. :)
