About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel extensively, meet good people... have fun ?

ABOUT ME

I am a Belgian guy born in Luxembourg who has been living in Montréal, Québec, Canada for 15 years. 15 years ?! Time passes so quickly !

I am open-minded, friendly, curious, creative... kind of cool and funny, I think. I try to live in the moment and I'm quite good at it.

As it's written above I am an event organizer and project manager in communication. I'm also a therapist in training. I worked for an art film cinema, as director of communication of a documentary festival and for a craft association, as a manager for a huge corn maze with theatrical animations, etc, etc. I also managed a permanent graphic design contest/t-shirt business. I hosted a radio show about comic books/graphic novels (not the super-hero type) for 10 years. But while I always have various projects in motion, I always make time for friends and culture.

PS : My first language is French and I am more used to speaking French so you can write to me in both English and French.

PHILOSOPHY

Never stop being curious !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed at a couchsurfer girl's place with a friend in Brazil (for Carnival in Rio!) few years ago and it was great ! In Brazil, I met couchsurfers from all around the world.

I did some couchsurfing in New Zealand and NYC too and I host and met CS in Montréal sometimes.

Interests

My interests are music, cinema, literature, graphic novels/comic books (not the super-hero type), trying new foods, drinks, swimming, scuba diving, traveling (been to 4 of the 5 continents), discovering new things, new people...

-Food: Thaï, Indian, Japanese, Korean, etc. And also cheese and cheese-related meals like raclette, tartiflette, fondue, etc.

-Drinks : I don't drink a lot of strong alcohol but I like gin & tonic. I like drinking wine and I have to admit that I'm a bit of a beer snob (I'm Belgian after all!). That means I prefer micro-breweries to commercial companies. One of my favourites is Orval... brewed by Monks! It's made in the region I was born in. You have to try it! Québec has a lot of great craft beers too.
