Things you should know about me:

-I write novels. I'm taking 2016 to travel the world and write my next novel. My last novel, Points of Departure, has already been published. You can read about it, and check out some of my other writing at my website: http://christopherbardsle.wix.com/writing

-The main reason I'm on couchsurfing is to meet interesting people as I travel through the different parts of the world I'll be visiting. I'm not interested in imposing or freeloading. If you're gracious enough to accept me into your home, I expect you'll find me to be a pleasant guest. If that's not possible, I'd also be interested in meeting for a meal or a drink. I like conversation, and I like people. I'm always curious to hear a new story- it's kind of necessary in my line of work.

-I moonlight as a history teacher. I love teaching almost as much as I love writing, and I've spent the last four years teaching middle school in Australia.
History is a subject of endless fascination, and I'd be perfectly happy to chew your ear off about it for as long as you'll let me. Be warned- I like telling stories. It comes with the territory.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to meet interesting people and have fascinating conversations. If you want to talk about politics, literature, history, contemporary culture or anything else, then I would like to talk to you.

As I mentioned, my interest lies more in meeting locals than extracting free accommodation. I'm always keen for a meal or a drink.
