About Me

CURRENT MISSION

After backpacking around Africa for 4 years, I'm now embarking on my second 3-4 year trip around India and South East Asia to further explore and deepen my newly found spirituality. Further I'd like to get to know more about myself, other cultures and countries and to meet interesting and open minded people to have an exchange of thoughts and learn from each other.

ABOUT ME

I'm a very curious person that has always an open ear for new point of views and likes to interact with people that can widen my horizon. Besides that, I very much enjoy to exchange travel experiences with other people and to let me get inspired about places I haven't been yet.
I like to be challenged in my personal opinion in a way that makes me think about myself and life in general, as this is my preferred way to reflect and learn.
Self-development and facing my own shortcomings and flaws are my passion and focus in life.
I see myself as an ambassador of intercultural exchange and try to bring people from different places in the world together.
I think the media and politicians try to divide us humans and manipulate us to work against each other. But I believe that we are all connected, that we all are alike and strive for the same human needs for love, compassion, respect, kindness, dignity and spirituality.
I very much enjoy long and deep talks about everything and nothing and thus I like people who are able to keep a conversation going.

PHILOSOPHY

Live begins where your comfort zone ends!
During my 4 years in Africa I changed a lot and my priorities in life with it. I learned to turn my focus inwards rather than outwards and understood that the only way to make the world a better place is to start changing yourself and become a more humble and compassionate person.
My motto: don't wait for the perfect moment, take a moment and make it perfect!
Life is what you make of it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I've been very fortunate to have met wonderful and special CS hosts all over Africa and India. Due to the fact that in the current period of my life I'm only traveling, I only surf couches and enjoy the great hospitality of our community members and try to inspire a mental and cultural exchange.
Once I settled down somewhere in the world I'm looking forward to pay back the favor and invite many CS people into my home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had many great experiences with CS hosts during my trip across Africa and around India. Met so many inspiring and wonderful souls that became my friends and my CS family.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

living in the African bush without electricity and running water for 2 months
having had the opportunity to change and improve the livelihood of 3 African people that I had the pleasure to meet and become friends with.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people to be awake, to focus on the small things in life. At the same time I can also help people to see the big picture. I can ask the right questions so as to make people questioning their opinions and make them rethinking their views.
I, for one, would like to meet people that are able to excite me about things I'd never dared to think about or to do. I also like people that have the ability to laugh and make fun about themselves.
