About Me

I am veterinary student at Texas A&M University and I am interested in small animal medicine and public health.

I like to think myself as open minded and I love meeting new people. I haven't had a ton of opportunities to travel due to school, but I am hoping to change that over the next several years. I love learning about different cultures and gaining new experiences.

I also have a great interest in learning languages. I am currently trying to learn Spanish and German. I don't get to spend as much time as I want learning these languages due to my veterinary schoolwork but I think speaking another language is a valuable skill that I am determined to achieve!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have never hosted or stayed with anyone on CS before, but I think that this is an amazing resource and one that I really want to give a try. I want to meet new people and learn about cultures different from my own.

Interests

I love to go hiking, fishing, spend time at the lake, running, etc.

I also have a new interest in photography and like going outside to take pictures of nature and my dog!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to Costa Rica with some pre-veterinary students during my undergraduate education at Texas A&M. I got to work at a wildlife refuge that held animals that were rescued from the black market exotics trade. I also got to stay with an amazing woman at her home during my time in Costa Rica. She didn't speak any English and I hardly spoke any Spanish. We were still able to find a way to communicate and some of my best memories from the trip are from my time with her.

Countries I’ve Visited
