About Me
Hey! My name's Chris.
I'm a 25 year old copywriter, originally from Glastonbury in Somerset, England. I moved to Glasgow three years ago, after completing my degree (English Literature), and fell in love with the city and Scotland. I've been here ever since, so I'm an adopted Scot now.
I currently live in a gorgeous 2 bedroom tenement flat that I'm renovating in vibrant Govanhill, in Glasgow's Southside. I share it with two beautiful black rescue cats, Cheeki and Sooti.
I'm interested in writing, radical politics, D.I.Y ethics and permaculture. I'm gay. I currently have my own allotment and grow a lot of my own food there. I'm also a vegetarian. I'm in the process of writing my first play and there's a novel slowly simmering away in the background too.
Ps. In case you were wondering, 'Fear' is my real, birth surname- it supposedly means "comrade" or "friend" in Old English. No, I'm definitely not scary.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting new people from across the world with similar ideas, interests and passions.
I've travelled a bit, so I know how much hassle it can be finding accommodation in an unfamiliar city. I've benefited from the kindness of strangers in the past, so offering a free place to stay for a few nights in my own flat is the least I can do.
I just want to share Scottish hospitality and solidarity really.
