About Me

Call me Kristof.

I have started traveling in 2016 when my brother and her wife invited me to join their trip to HK. From then, I love going out whenever I have time and enough budget. I've been to mountains and countrysides to witness and explore the beautiful sceneries of my country. Mostly, I love nature, the greenery of the trees and the sounds of a flowing water from the falls. Chirping of the birds and the breeze of the air are good music to my ears.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Most tourists stay in hotels. Many backpackers stay in hostels. I prefer to stay with local people. Through
CouchSurfing.org, travelers, regardless of age, wealth or interests, can stay with a host for free.

I am on Couchsurfing because of the following reasons:

LEARN NEW THINGS - To learn new things is beneficial at any age, and any kind of learning can benefit other aspects of your life.

Your life is ever-changing and infinitely complex, and your ability to experience it depends on your willingness the learn. The more you learn, the more you live.

EXPERIENCE A NEW CULTURE FROM THE INSIDE -
Differences do set us apart, but we often forget that we are all human, and our culture is much more representative of our differing environment than truly different people. Understanding and accepting other cultures is about keeping your mind open and learning, and you'll find a little knowledge is all it takes to truly broaden your horizons.

MAKE NEW FRIENDS - Sometimes people can have fights, but friendship is a valuable gift. Sometimes, good friends are hard to find. Acquiring friends requires making yourself seem attractive to new people, initiating conversations, and being mindful of the needs of others. Meeting new people and making friends can seem like an overwhelming task. But with a little effort and willingness to step outside of your comfort zone, you can easily make friends. Like most people, you want to make friends with someone, but they are already friends with, perhaps, the person you fought with. There is always a future to friendship.

IT’S GREAT FOR THE SOLO TRAVELER - Traveling alone means you have must have your wits about you. Everything-- Safety, funds, culture shock -- they all fall on your shoulders. But solo travel doesn't have to be an ordeal. Approached safely and intelligently, solo travel becomes an adventure that can make you new friends the world over.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Music can be a great, healing relaxer to help us escape from the various stresses of life these days. I like the genres of RNB and Alternative Pop Rock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't really have this extreme or extraordinary thing that I have done to date but climbing the mountain of Mt Daraitan in Rizal, PH for the first time is an achievement for me. That was amazing for me, I can say, so far.
