December 2015- I am mid journey by bike crossing the US with a friend, Eric Goodline.

I am a former lacrosse player who fell victim to an out of control driver, was nearly killed and left severely injured in 2000. Paralyzed and having been told I'd never walk again, I promised that if I survived and could one day walk again, I'd travel the world helping others and aiding children and communities wherever in need. Having now healed 17 broken vertebrae and regained full functionality, I am keeping my promise.
Now, years later I am supported by my long time friend Eric Goodline.Together we are leading the charge across America, traveling through the Rockies, across deserts, through countless parks and towns, all to raise funds and awareness for the Seeds of Change Foundation and our flagship project.
I sold my home to raise money to build a sustainable orphanage in Nepal and am working on overcoming my own physical limitations to accomplish this challenging ride. You can follow up and see more about me at http://www.socfusa.org/rideom

I am on Couchsurfing for a few reasons. It is amazing to meet other kind and generous people on my travels. Also, all my money is going towards the project in Nepal so its very helpful to get out of the cold and be hosted for a night. We also camp sometimes( brrr) and are members of Warm Showers.
