Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had heard about this prior whenever I was trying to stay in Austin for cheap and my friend recommended that I check this site out. I finally took the plunge and signed up when I found out my cousin was getting married in the UK and I was going to be the best man! I enjoy meeting people and this seems like a great opportunity to meet others and help out as well.

Interests

I am interested in knowing more! I enjoy hearing different perspectives, views, opinions, religions, and hearing stories of love; love between families and love between lovers. I enjoy reading all kinds of books and some of my hobbies include but are not limited to: I love to golfing, kayaking, surfing, karaoke, going to concerts, working out, doing stand up comedy, and golfing some more. I am very active in my church and also host a men's bible study on Wednesday nights at my home.

Music, Movies, and Books

I would have to say that I truly do listen to all types of music, but my all time favorite bands are: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, Everclear, and Chicago. Some of my FAVORITE bands are: Dashboard Confessionals, Rage Against The Machine, Weezer, Foo Fighters, and Credence. I listen to Jack Johnson, Alicia Keys, George Strait, Conway Twitty, and most contemporary stuff.

I enjoy ALL good movies from Sci-Fi (Alien, Predator, Star Wars) to action (Pulp Fiction, anything Arnold, Faceoff, any superhero movies) to comedies (Tommy Boy, Step-brothers, House Party 3).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know how amazing other people may think it is, but I feel that of all my travels, all my accomplishments, all of my feats... the greatest thing I have ever accomplished was to allow God's love to show through me in such a way that it would literally change the people who have known me. Seeing a life change because of something I was used for gets no more amazing than that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope to teach others about perspective, love, friendship, learning from my mistakes, and how not to take things for granted. I hope to learn much of the same, but from someone else's point of view and from someone else's mistakes. And I hope we all can share in the love that has been given to us for the short time we are here on earth...and we make the most of it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experiences, my stories, recipes, ideas, and my laughter. And hopefully somewhere in all of that, it will bring happiness into their lives and they will be better for knowing me.
