About Me

Hi my name is Christopher Lowe. Most people call me Chris or Chris Lowe. Some of my friends even address me as C. Lowe, which is a nickname based on Cee Lo Green. Even though I cannot sing. lol I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I lived in LA all my life and was raised on the eastside of this huge city. I also lived in Santa Barbara, CA for a couple of years because that's where I attended UC Santa Barbara as an undergraduate. I currently worked as a mentor and a role model for the students of Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. I do this because I believe education is the key to empower individuals to find a happier and more prosperous future. If I am not working, I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family. I also like going to the beach (Cali Life!), doing community service, dining out, engage with theater and performing arts, and traveling. When it comes down with traveling, I love learning about new cultures and languages. If any of you all have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate in reaching out! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently looking for potential places to stay at in Asia and Europe because I will be traveling for about 4 months during the end of this year. I heard couchsurfing is a great way to be enrichen by another culture and budgeting the expenses of traveling. Through my experience in traveling, I learn that the most important source to go to in order to learn about another culture are the locals. By being able to couchsurf, I hope to continue to educate myself about different cultures as I go around and see the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked at least 10 hours a day by serving Boyle Heights, a neighborhood and community that is well known for its rich historical and cultural background in Los Angeles. I served in a middle school as a mentor and a role model by empowering my students to pursue their goals and dreams through education. Getting to work and understand my students strengths and goals as individuals is one of the most amazing thing I have ever done. :)
