Hi, I'm Chris!
I am a "super-optimist", with a permanent smile on my face and an infectious laugh. I'm very enthusiastic about most things, and I have an easy-going outlook on life.
I love to surf, practice and teach yoga, take photographs, make videos, drink coffee and eat delicious food.
I am a pescatarian. I don't cook, but I am very good at doing the dishes and cleaning up after someone has cooked for me :) I like my living space to be very neat and tidy.
I love listening to people's stories, as well as sharing my own ones. I try to immerse myself in the local culture wherever I go, and I love the challenge of learning some of the language of the places I visit.
I believe that being warm and kind to other people brings warmth and kindness back into my own life, and that being a joyful person helps others to find joy in themselves.

My music taste is quite expansive! I love the rock and alternative music that I grew up with in the 1990s and early 2000s. I also listen to indie rock. I love a range of electronic music too, including deep house, techno and psytrance music. In general, if music makes me bob my head, I'm happy.

I jumped off a 165m high cliff. This was at the world's highest bridge swing in Oribi Gorge, KZN, South Africa.

First and foremost, I can share my enthusiastic, energetic and optimistic view of life with you :) I'm an adventurer and I'm always up for trying new things.

Secondly, I have 2 years of English teaching experience, from my time in Viet Nam, where I was teaching children from 5 to 15 years of age.

I have a few years of experience with teaching surfing, where I have taught children and adults to stand up and ride waves. I have a deep love of surfing and the ocean. For the past few months I have done some work with Precious Plastic in Da Nang, Viet Nam, which is an amazing group of people who are arranging beach clean-ups and raising plastic recycling awareness.

Furthermore, I am a certified Yoga Instructor, having recently completed my 200hr Teacher Training Course at Samyak Yoga, in Mysore, India. I have been practicing Yoga for 10 years, and it is another passion of mine. I am continually trying to deepen my own practice as well as help others to discover the benefits of Yoga as a part of a healthy and happy life.
