About Me

Hi, my name is Chris! I have been introduced to Couchsurfing (CS) from a friend of mine who loves to travel and meet new people. I enjoy meeting new people who love to travel and also get a chance to experience other cultures.

I was born and raised in Southern California for a large part of my life. I was born in Alhambra which is literally next door to LA. I basically grew up in the San Gabriel Valley part of Los Angeles County. Covina is where I currently live which is about 30 minutes away from Downtown LA.

Work hard, love to travel. Likes to cook and go to concerts. I love history and art. To go and see magnificent sights and experience other cultures. Swap amazing stories of adventure with other travelers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Besides my friend, I haven't meet anyone who couchsurfed before. This summer (2017) will be my first time Couchsurfing. I am pretty much late in the game when it comes to traveling but I feel like that Couchusurfing will allow to people - locally. I believe that my upcoming Couchsurfing experience will makes my visit to other countries, much more intriguing and insightful. I would love to hear more from you about your country, culture, food, your life, and so on!

Interests

I love skateboarding and snowboarding as they are two of my favorite interests. I am into baseball as it is my favorite past-time sport. Whenever I get a chance to visit a new place, I love to try out new food whether if it's at a food cart or a hole in a wall place in town. In addition, I love to cook. Aside from that, I love to talk about history and old movies (like the ones where Audrey Hepburn was on). I have such a huge love for animals.

Music, Movies, and Books

I do have an eclectic taste for music, regardless of genre or artists. I am into Alkaline Trio, Mumford and Sons, Iron Maiden, etc. My favorite authors are, Alexandre Dumas, Dean Koontz, Tom Clancy, John Grishom. My favorite book is the Count of Monte Cristo. I read it in English and French numerous times. I love how the book shows passion, determination and a quest for knowledge being the true weapons to fight Injustice and restoring honor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Even though it was late in life; in 2015 I got to travel to Europe for the first time. I got to see the world in a way I never fathomed. You learn about places in a book but actually being there, feeling the stories and histories come alive is a treasure I'll savor forever.

Teach, Learn, Share

Great in mathematics, average guitar player, learn history and peoples views and opinions on life. Share my home, my food and my life. I have lived a complex and interesting life, I have wonderful stories that will make you laugh, cry and shock you with bewilderment. I love to cook so I can make wonderful and real Mexican dishes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, food, I can be a helping hand in repairs and maintenance. Fix cars, babysit, fantastic cook.
