Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To have a great time with people rather than an ok time on my own.
ABOUT ME
I'm a 30 yo, TV person , specifically factual documentaries. At the time of writing this I am currently hunting down footage of a now obscure child star from the 1970s for BBC Scotland. I don't know how I got here, but careerwise I'm pretty happy.
I have all sorts of interests from the outdoors (walking, climbing and cycling) to music (I love to play the piano as well as listen to all kinds of new music) and volunteering (with asylum seekers and junk food projects).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to travel abroad and meet new people, which makes this website suits me perfectly. I am always happy to return favors and if you happen to be in my area in the future, you would be more than welcome to borrow my couch as I enjoy introducing people to Glasgow and its excellent outdoors/culture.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When couch surfing in Krakow and Berlin, both of my hosts were excellent and hospitable. A lot of my experience travelling has been on my own, and so I know the value of couch surfing and it's ability to join together like minded people who can share amazing experiences.
I also lived in Australia for a year, where I also spent time couch surfing in Brisbane, as well as hitch hiking in Western Aus, and so I have many more stories to tell.
Interests
Open minded. All experience is good experience in one way or another.
Have been in a band, which subsequently self-destructed like most good bands do.
Walking has become a keen interest of mine as I especially like scenic routes as well as seeing beautiful cities. Plus, the exercise can't hurt!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Back in January 2020, I was on the phone to several prisons trying to arrange an interview between my boss and pro life/right-wing terrorists. That was, dare I say it, pretty extreme!
Teach, Learn, Share
Travelling by yourself provides you with great control over many aspects of your trip, but I do think there can be a higher value in the shared sense of adventure. The ability to look back on times spent with friends, old and new, becomes more valuable as you get older.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Music, Food, conversation and good humour.
