About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to become less ignorant of the world around my by learning about different cultures.

ABOUT ME

I love communicating and learning about new cultures. I'm absolutely obsessed with learning languages. Right now I'm working on perfecting my Spanish. I'm a little quiet when I first meet you, but I warm up quickly. I enjoy going on adventures with friends. I'd like to think that I'm adventurous, but compared to other people on this site, I'm quite tame lol.

PHILOSOPHY

"I used to wonder why birds stay in one place being that they are able to fly to any place in the world...Now I ask myself that same question"

Honestly, at the core of myself, I like to explore new territory (social, mental or geographical) and make deep, lasting friendships with diverse groups of people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not sure what this space is for... I guess I participate in my community by teaching English since it's what I want to do some day :o)
I love to meet new people and learning about cultures, religions and overall points of view.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent a month traveling throughout Colombia and relied almost 100% on my interactions with other couchsurfers. My experience was easily one of the best I've ever had when traveling. Everyone was so accomadating in every single city I visited. We went to concerts, museums, parks, movies and religious services and I honestly felt like I learned far more than I ever could have just watching documentaries or reading books (not that I have anything against that). I really look forward to one day being able to host someone in my own home or going to hang out with someone from a different culture. If you haven't tried it yet, I encourage you to try it!!!

Interests

Hmm... My interests...
I love warm weather and long, deep talks with friends (I detest small talk). I love learning languages and new points of view. I enjoy being together with friends and simply relaxing. Really, I just like to chill without a demanding agenda, though when I'm in the mood, I also like to get a lot of things done. Also, I love trying new things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maybe the most amazing thing I've done in my lifetime is stay in a village in Togo, Africa for a couple of months. It was quite an adventure. I lived in a super old tent the whole time I was there. I was exposed to new foods and even had to consult a few survival skills while I was there. I miss that place a lot and hope to go again in the future.

Teach, Learn, Share

Oh gosh. what can I teach? haha as I said before, I love teaching english. I'm a huge grammar nerd. I get very excited about verb tenses! haha so I guess if you need help with English, I can help...
