Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosting in Minneapolis, Minnesota! However I moved back home recently so I can share my room and home but it is a messy room for a Teacher who is in denial he is no longer a student.
(boxes of print outs, academic articles and books everywhere)
Its very economy family home (bumping shoulders!)
I have no pets sorry. I wish I had a cat for you to hang out with.
The fam would like to Skype first before accepting guests (usually not a problem)
I don't own this house for a few more years so I have to follow rules too! ^_^
*Possible Move to Worcester, Massachusetts in 2017-2018??*
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have slept on a few unregistered couches across the Midwest, Hokkaido, Tokyo and Saitama before this website started.
My opinion: Farmers and Suburban grandparents are the best!
Have friends, acquaintances who have hosted couch surfers and the experience has been very good most of the time.

Managed to keep a crowd of Conventioneers entertained by dancing poorly to PSY's Gangnam style dance for a whole 15 minutes
(That's a long time for a 1 trick pony entertainment bit)
Worked at Armor.com- I used to make weapons and armor stuff.
Been a Theravada monk in Laos before it got hip.
Taught Elementary, Middle school, High school in US and JAPAN.
Met Neil Gaiman the writer
helped Koshimizu town apply for a Guinness Book of World Record
House Sitting for Cat, Dog and Rabbit owners
Seasonal friend of foxes and raccoons
(probably because I used to clean and filet my fresh fish in the woods near my house)
Teach, Learn, Share
When I was a bachelor I took pride in low budget simple living, cooking and other home skills.
I particularly like napping on the floor after cleaning it.
I enjoy learning about music, Visual Arts, Village grandparents, Live music social scenes and tend to get on well at those things.
I love to read various literature and talk with people about it.
I know much about Metal fabricating skills: casting, forging-hotwork, cold work:bending, cutting, filing, buffing etc.
I know some cool people in Minnesota who do Mural Paintings.
If you want a substitute teaching Job or work in Education in MN; I have opinions and advice to share.
