About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To discover how to make a decent and interesting way of living related to farming

ABOUT ME

I am happiest around people though love being alone too. .

I am a relatively easy going guy. I embrace all people into my life and love hearing about people's lives and stories.
I'm vegetarian.

PHILOSOPHY

I see philosophy in practical terms as a means of achieving mental peace and good living.

1. To examine and reflect on my life and myself as an individual and as a person among nature and other people (I like and dislike).

2. To always ask why and reflect critically.

3. To keep one's imagination alive.

4. Not to annoy people by always asking why.

5. Open one's ears and listen

6. Try one's best to act collectively and think empathetically to enact political change.

7. To create and produce useful/beautiful things to ward of cynicism.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have used couch surfing to travel although I don't use it as much as I'd like. I have friends that use it most months, I guess I haven't quite got the knack at using it most effectively.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted many wonderful people in Prague where I lived for a year, I have only had positive experiences with CS and I've even met some great people during a CS meeting in Malmö and Bordeaux.
I used couchsurfing in India and met some lovely folks though the network.

Interests

I love to cook, I love riding my bike, I read a lot. I love talking about food. I love to swim and run and I love to write. I like travelling, I'm trying to keep a little more grounded these days by keeping my head out of the clouds but it's difficult.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have pretty conservative tastes when it comes to books. I'm a reader and love some books very much.

Music: Blues, Jazz, Classical, Soul, Reggae, some Indie

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've travelled a lot, worked in wineries, studied wonderful things, failed things, gained things, lived in many places. I grew up fishing.

Teach, Learn, Share

To Learn: Fluent french, farming, better writing

To Teach: The origins of our global political economy, to make very good tomato sauce, . This is quite a hard section to fill out:)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live with my girlfriend in the 14eme arrondissement (same area as Montparnasse train station). It's a studio flat but we have a very comfortable couch that folds out and large windows that makes everything feel larger and lighter. The couch is slightly hidden by a desk so you'll have your privacy at night when you're in bed, if you can see what I mean? I can imagine some people thinking what it would be like to sleep in the same room as a stranger couple, ha ha, but you'll have some privacy at night even if it is a studio. I will only accept guests if I know I have time to hang out. It will be a tranquille setting and if you do come to stay you may feel at home, no worries.
