About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Going from vagrant to a small town local. I am really enjoying the fruits of a rooted life in a very close knit community. And I am glad to show off its charm.
ABOUT ME
I'm a fairly eclectic, very outgoing. artistic type. I love coffee, art, meeting new people, and living out stories. I'm a traveller, an entrepreneur, a lover of classic fiction, and a thrift store hound. Professionally I am an artist, coffee roaster, and director of a non profit art space and concert venue; which means I'm poor but love what I do!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed several times through this site but I have hosted more travelers than I dare count and surfed couches all over the states before I was on Couchsurfing. I have been inactive for several years while I lived in the smallest apartment I’ve ever known- but I’ve finally got some space to host! Glad to take on new guests and show off the town I love.
Interests
I'm very motivated by the arts and creativity, and I love to discover creative communities, be it, a hive of studio artists, a group of buskers, or coffee-shop philosophers. I am also prone just to wander, exploring a city for hours until I find a quiet spot to read and maybe make new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
C.S. Lewis, Steinbeck, Vonnegut, Camus, Flannery O'Conner, H.G. Wells, Hemingway, Kafka, and too many more. I read far too much.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked from Minnesota to Philly without any money, food, or cell phone. I got to know so many generous people and experience some amazing small towns!
Teach, Learn, Share
As an artist, I am a restless collector of mediums. I enjoy learning new processes of creating. So I jump from painting to printmaking to pinhole photos to papermaking and ceramics. I am glad to teach what I know. I am also a coffee roaster and am glad to bring fresh beans and maybe even a crappy handmade mug to drink it out of!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Fresh roasted coffee and any brewing advice, hand made pottery or art of one kind or another, can teach so many art mediums (printmaking, pinhole photography, papermaking, etc.), kombucha brewing techniques, and, and, and, some other things I can’t think of now.
