About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Going back to school for some engineering! Should be pretty easy..?
ABOUT ME
Hey I'm Chris, I'm originally from Wisconsin but I moved out to Colorado for about a year doing the whole "ski bum" thing but figured out while "searching for myself" that I wanted to go back to school. I started learning programming and now I'm on a mission. I want to go to space. Seriously. I pretty chill and really down for whatever, an extremely go-with-the-flow kinda guy. I like to meet new people and see how they do what they do where they're at.
PHILOSOPHY
Do what makes you happy and crush it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Looking to be a surfer. I don't have a real stable couch here in Ho-Dunk Wisconsin
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None but I would love some experience for sure!
Interests
I'm interested in interesting things. I really love to bike, read, stare at my computer for periods of time that seriously can't be healthy for my eyesight, go out and about, climb on stuff, get a beer (or two).

Music, Movies, and Books
I like good music. I sometimes enjoy the catchy stuff in a goofy sense. I go through phases, just like anyone else. Sometimes I'm really digging on hip hop and then I'm over to classical and then I'm listening to sad hipstery jams. Currently I've been listening to really atmosphery music because I've been hard into learning how to program.
I really like books. I haven't had a whole lot of time to read lately but the last book I got through was Atlas Shrugged and Leviathan from the Expanse series. I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks, which I do consider cheating but it's easy to get some stuff done. My favorite audiobook was Sex on the Moon, voiced by Casey Affleck, his voice is like a puppy smoking a cigar bathing in chocolate. There are about 100 books I plan to read. I've been making my way (slowly) through about 20 different books on programming currently. Those are the most exciting.
I love all books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One time my friends and I were hosting a Free Hugs Day on campus and out of all the hugs we got, the most awesome one I will remember for the rest of my life was this little girl who could not have been more than 11 or 12 years old, and I turned to see her throwing her purse at her older brother and she sprinted across the plaza towards me and I scooped her up in a hug and spun her around and then set her down and she said thanks really quietly and went back to join her family. Totally awesome.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you a bit of programming! It would be good for me, I'm almost over the "novice" hump and I think I read some ancient proverb or something Yoda said about teaching what you know. Or some info security tips. I could talk about learning about learning too. More or less I'm really open to learning. If you're an expert on something, learn me up on it!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a good helper with anything. If you have housework, I'll do it. I'm okay in the kitchen if you're a good leader. Otherwise I don't mind staying out of your way, I know you have a life going on and that I'm just passing through.
