Overview
About Me
My name is Chris! I live in the lovely university-town Marburg, where I'm doing an internship as a pharmacist in training. I come from a large family (four siblings), which made me value both the time spent in community and in privacy.
It try to live in awareness and open-mindedness as much as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
With couchsurfing.org as a website, I have no experience so far.
I consider my experiences in Ghana in the beginning of 2014 very similar to those of a couchsurfer. Many of the small villages only have a single guest house, if they have one at all. The atmosphere is very intimate, as the guestroom was quiet often right next to the bedroom of the owners and I commonly shared meals, the bathroom and the privy with their family. I enjoyed it much more than the bigger hotels or lodges!
Interests
For sports, I particularly enjoy playing Ultimate frisbee! It's a great sport, if you have not heard of it, I urge you to check it out. It might quiet surprise you!
I also enjoy rock climbing (mostly indoors), skiing, hiking, casual biking, and occasionally canoeing. Any outdoors activity really, if I get the chance!
My friends and I usually spend our days and nights at the local river, the Lahn, or at particularly old-fashioned bars such as Irish pubs. Sometimes we get together to play board games, which I personally would love to do more often.
And of course I love myself a good book and tasty food!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As part of a five day trekking trip, we scaled the Colorado pyramid peak (4,2k meters)!
And last year, I won a small poker tournament in Las Vegas. This is not a particularly great achievement, but it felt amazing at the time.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you are passionate about something, I will be listening just as intentively.
If someone has something to share, whether it is a story, a lesson, or a riddle!
Personally, I could probably rave on about ant-keeping more than anyone would need to hear.
