Overview
About Me
My name is Krístian and I am a former Correspondent, turning a Cultural Entrepreneur. In the beginning, I thought I was an athlete. But life proved me wrong. So, I end up living on-the-go.
Since I can remember myself I was a hard core extrovert: Inquiring, creative, expressive, innovative and loud at times. That's probably because I am Greek (even though I feel rather Norwegian). I grew up in Athens, yet my family comes from Mykonos Island. Therefore, I have experienced diversity from a very young age, I have learned to be a host by default and I am always a beach party animal.
When I finished my studies in Social Sciences, I moved to Norway. While on my studies, I started to work as an editor. Seven years later, I was already a correspondent. I am not sure whether I love Communication more than Journalism. But as a Correspondent, I learned what's the real reality around me, and that's all I will say...
What I probably do the most is getting lost in music and sipping something for hours.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I had an overdose of fancy yet cold and impersonal hotels.
Interests
My interests vary a lot....
- Sports: I was a professional athlete until 2004. So sports and fitness are always in my bucket list. However, I re-evaluated the gift of walking, the power of my physique and the importance of time, after all traffic accident I suffered last year.
- Cooking: This is where I really have no limits, as long as there is enough imagination, available ingredients and volunteers!
- Music: It's my drug. Especially whatever comes in a musical package. That's why I am a songwriter and a screenwriter. But please, don't ask me to sing... For your own safety!

- Movies: I specifically love Musicals. However, I can see anything except for Thrillers/Horror Movies. I cannot sleep at nights?!
- Books: I would read any good storyline with an interesting plot, without a lot of blood. I also like books about fitness, entrepreneurship, culture and psychology (including coaching/mentoring/self help). More recently: 'Permanent Record' by E. Snowden
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Quite a lot. From banjee jumping and travelling 20 hours in a train, to experiencing the Brussels lock down, working in Eurovision, Brexit, etc, etc...
And of course being in custody in Manchester Airport for claiming to be Greek, when my passport is from Hellas... Do you get the irony??? #omg
Teach, Learn, Share
Whatever is among my interests and expertise, always come with me. Feel free to ask, discuss, teach, learn, share or whatever! Of course this goes both ways. There are a lot I can still learn in fitness, writing, music, cooking, etc.
What I Can Share with Hosts
That's a very good question.
Whatever I can! Hospitality literally means: Feel anywhere at home. So respact and friendship goes both ways. And these are the most expensive "currencies" in the world.
