I'm the mother of a smart and sweet little one year old boy named Alex. My husband and I love meeting new people, traveling, and experiencing new and interesting things. We have been enjoying parenthood so far and are just now starting to get some sleep at night. Woo hoo!

My day is mostly diapers and playdates these days but I have a piano and I love to play and sing when I get the chance and I have two piano students that I'm incredibly proud of. I'm also a licensed massage therapist and I take appointments on the occasional evening. I love to crochet and make art. Our house is full of many of my creations. One of my favorite projects are my boob pillows.

My husband and I like to relax in the evenings with a bottle of wine and either an intriguing conversation or a good movie. We have a projector instead of a TV so the whole wall is our movie screen and we have a giant popcorn maker too.

We meet with our friends almost every week for a board game night. Some of our favorites are SmashUp, Catan, Canasta, Firefly, Castles, Pandemic, and Exploding Kittens.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have a really amazing group of friends who we hang out with a lot but they are very similar to us in so many ways. It's a good thing to mix it up with people from different backgrounds with different beliefs. That's what I like about being a host. We love to meet people that aren't just like us and learn and grow and be inspired by new things.

Some of our favorites are HER, waking life, wedding crashers, meet the fockers, kissing Jessica stein, terminator, twister, and so many more that I can’t think of right now.

I like lots of different types of music. Some of my favorites are Justin Timberlake, Ray Lamontagne, Beyoncé, Sara barielles, the Beatles, journey, Chicago, animals as our leaders, billy Joel, and Alesia cara.

I’m a total self help junky when it comes to books. Deepak chopra, Louise hay, Esther Hicks, Neil Donald Walsch, Barbara Brennan, Richard Gordon, lee Ann carol, and my favorite non self help or energy work related book is illusions by Richard Bach.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My husband and I have gone on two long term road trips. One across the United States from the east to the west coast and back and one backpacking through Europe. I guess that's two, oops.
