Overview
About Me
I love all things outdoors and just want to explore the world. When I graduated high school I really didn't know what I wanted to do or study. I kept working as a waitress then I decided to visit some friends in Germany for a few weeks. Well after that I definitely got the travel bug. I did however take some schooling because my parents said I should. I decided to take a trade since if I didn't end up really liking it, I would still have a good knowledge of something practical afterwards. So I chose to take automotive mechanics. I ended up really liking the course, but I know I wouldn't want it to be my career. When I finished the course I was top of my class but I was still waitressing. After the summer I decided to start looking for a job in a mechanic shop but I gave myself a timeline. If I didn't find a job in a few months, then I would go traveling. So I ended up traveling for 14 months! I went to 4 different countries during that time, and it was such an amazing experience. I learnt so much and definitely grew as a person. I'm now back home, and starting University for something that I'm excited about and want to learn.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. It's a great way to travel because you get more of a homey feel, compared to being in a hostel with 12 other people in a room.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really don't watch too many movies or series, but I do like recommendations as I have a list of things to watch. I'm currently watching Brooklyn 99, its pretty good. I don't really have a favorite movie. However, I've watched Finding Nemo countless times with my sister, so that's probably the closest thing to a favorite.
I listen to all sorts of music, and since I started traveling I've been collecting favorites from people I've met a long the way. Currently I'm loving Chan Chan by Buena Vistas Social Club, Alaska by Maggie Rogers, Body like a back road by Sam Hunt and 1er Gaou by Magic System.
Last book I read was The Mountain Story by Lori Lansens. Highly recommend if you love hiking.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Escaped the career focused western culture, to learn and see what else is out there. Learning while doing and seeing is the best experience one could ask for.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm currently trying to learn the ukulele as I travel and would be happy to get some tips.
I like to bake and cook, and enjoy trying new recipes to share with others.
I always have a deck of cards with me and love learning and teaching new games.
