ABOUT ME

I grew up in the Midwestern United States but have lived on both coasts now (New York City and San Francisco). I have two awesome brothers, and I visit my hometown every summer with friends. I work in finance, but in my spare time I am involved with non-profits that are focused on fighting climate change, helping refugees, and raising money for other non-profits. I spend my free time skiing, wakeboarding, kitesurfing and training for triathlons. If you're from the midwest, NYC, or a random corner of the globe, I may want to catch up with you!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I primarily host because I really enjoy that aspect of couchsurfing. It's like having the world come to your doorstep. One of these days I'll have to come visit some of the amazing people I've hosted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My favorite CouchSurfing nights vary from chill evenings eating and talking, to crazy nights at the bars. Really depends when you come - weekends are usually crazier, weeknights usually more chill (of course, there are exceptions!)

Intereses

Snowskiing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, kitesurfing, biking, swimming, scuba, sailing, cooking, camping, reading, DJ'ing, throwing parties, working with non-profits, investing. In college I was a pole vaulter. I can solve a rubik's cube in a couple minutes.

Música, películas y libros

Music: Everything. From bluegrass to rap to rock to techno and trance.
Movies: Funny movies! Classic Bond flicks. Gangster films. Anything by Hayao Miyazaki.
Books: Too many to choose. Just finished the Steve Jobs bio. Before that, When Genius Failed. On the shelf now: A whole bunch of portfolio management books, and reams of academic papers.
