We are looking for adventure in new places and people! After living a very quiet, homestead based lifestyle, we are ready to see what's out there.

ABOUT ME

Charles is a laid back, friendly, and peaceful person. He is easy to get along with and is always up for an adventure.

Hannah is a people person, loves spending time with family and friends, and is always excited to meet new people. She loves to laugh and play.

PHILOSOPHY

We try to live in the moment, stay open to what the world sends our way, and remember that the only thing you can be certain of is change. We like to be generous and smile a lot.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this moment in time, we have recently packed up our home in the countryside of Oregon in order to travel Europe for the summer and fall. So, we are currently looking to couchsurf, but are not ready to host people in our home, because we do not have one right now! As soon as we settle down again, we will be very excited to be hosts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have no couchsurfing experience, but are excited to try it out, hopefully soon! However, we do have Helpx experience (a worktrade network) through which we have had positive stays. We also have close friends on Couchsurfing who can vouch for our character.

兴趣

Charles is most at home in nature. He loves to garden and study plants through herbalism and botany. He likes to do anything outdoors, cook, eat, and play guitar.

Hannah is inspired by beautiful people and places. She loves to be outside, cook and eat out of the garden, and spend time with her friends.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Charles and Hannah share the awesome memories of meeting each other and exploring the lush and magical temperate rainforests of western Oregon together.

Most recently, Hannah was awestruck and excited to see her first fireflies one evening in New York. She had to pinch herself to make sure she was not imagining these lovely little beings. She stood, transfixed for many moments, appreciating these bugs lighting up the night sky.

Charles has most recently been moved by spending time with, and getting to know, his German family in Berlin. Spending time with his Omami and Opapi let him get in touch with his roots. Seeing his uncle's new born baby was a very special moment as well.

We are always excited to teach, learn, and share anything relating to food--growing it, cooking it, eating it.

Charles can share his vast knowledge on plants and uses for them. He is also eager to learn about the new plants around him as he travels.

Hannah will trade stories with you, happily. She thoroughly enjoys hearing others' life journeys, and will gladly and openly share her's with you. She is also excited to learn bits of new languages as she travels. And guitar too.
