Hey! My name is Chrystal and I am 23 years old living in the United States. I travel a lot between California and North Carolina, however I have never been outside of the country! I'm super easy to get along with and love to connect with people who are different than me so that I can learn more.
I do not have a lot of money, but I am very determined to make this work for me. I am willing to drop everything I have and go at a moments notice and I am very go-with-the-flow type personality. I am told by my family that this is just a silly dream of mine and nothing is possible without having a "stable" career (plus get married and have some kids while I'm at it) HOWEVER I do not believe this to be true! I think anybody is capable of anything. So lets do this thing!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My dream, passion, and main goal is to complete my degree in sociology in the next few months ahead and begin my journey around the world. I have a friend who told me about this site and all of the amazing people she connected with, so I thought for sure this would be worth a try when I begin my journey.

Interests

I enjoy dancing (salsa is my FAVORITE!), singing (mostly in the shower... I'm no professional), meeting new people, writing, seeing new places and really just enjoying the moment I'm in. I truly believe in having a great time and really learning from all that is around me. I am most interested in learning about different cultures that surround me.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is all music. If there is something I can dance to - even better! My favorite movies... well that would be a long list but I'll name a few: Mr. Nobody, Blue is the Warmest Color, City of God, War Witch, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Pans Labyrinth, and many many more including documentaries. My favorite books continue to grow as I find authors I enjoy... Right now I'm reading collected short stories by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Really anything that has a lot of metaphors or can draw me into the other world the writer describes has my heart.

What I Can Share with Hosts

What I want to share with my hosts would be my passions for culture and travel. I want my hosts to not just be people who let me in and stay, but experience things with me and grow as a person with me!
