ABOUT ME
Hi, I am Yen. I come from Taiwan, I am an open minded person. I have the passion to introduce my culture to others. I also like to talk to foreigners to know more about other cultures, other parts of the world. I will be very crazy when I know someone very well XD Right now, I am an exchange student in Minnesota State University. I am an Accounting major. I will be in the U.S until June 2012. I want to enjoy every day in the United States and make more friends during my stay in here. I want to go to some cool places that I can or dare to visit when I am still young. I never want to let my life to be a blank paper.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My Czech Republic friend brought me the message that CS is a great way to know more about the world. So I join the CS since Oct. 2012. I did have great time in CS.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couch surfing experience was in St. Paul, Minnesota on Oct, 2012. That was an awesome memory, and it opened a new leaf for my couch surfing experience. Ever since then, I'd love couch surfing. Because I can meet different kinds of awesome people. The second experience was in Chicago. And I expect to have more couch surfing experiences, no matter being a surfer or a host. I will definitely serve as a host after I go back to Taiwan.
Interests
I really like different cuisines, for example the night market in my country is one of the best choices for me to kill my time and taste different foods. I also like the exotic cultures a lot. I want to travel around America, Canada, and Europe....etc. I'd like to visit my friends in Europe after I finish my exchange program in U.S. So far I already travel in Minnesota, Chicago, and I expect to tour more places in the U.S. and the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Me and my friend joined the 2012 Taipei 101 run up race, climbing the stairs from the 1st floor to the 92nd floors within 30 mins. I am so happy that I conquered Taipei 101 which was the tallest skyscraper around the world two years ago. There are many Taipei 101 in my heart, I will conquer them step by step.
Danced with beggar in Prague. That's an interesting story happened in Prague, me and my friend saw a beggar dancing randomly on the street. I plucked up my courage, and joined him with my poor Gongnam style.
