About Me

CURRENT MISSION

World peace through travelling

ABOUT ME

I'm a Vietnamese girl who was born and grew up in beautiful Saigon before moving around the world to discover and seek my own definition of life. I'm currently living in Bern with my husband and we are truly enjoying our days together.

Being an ambivert, I'm cheerful and have a positive personality, accepting towards others and believe in the kindness of every heart.

People say that I have a kind heart, extremely bubbly and a bit too honest sometimes. I smile a lot to the point that someone threw this gem at me once: "Your constant smile annoys me." :P

I believe that there is no better way to learn and shape oneself than travelling. From an extremely timid, unsure, dependant and unconfident little girl, the world has helped me mature so much. I feel like myself the most whenever I'm on the road. I have, am and will continue to travel as a bird can never learn how to fly high if it stays forever in its comfortable nest.

PHILOSOPHY

"Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile."
- Albert Einstein

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I learned this through a very close friend who also wishes to conquer the world through travelling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new here so haven't got anthing nice to write here. However I'm really looking forward to experience wonderful things through CS soon.

Interests

- Converse with nature.
- Immerge with the tranquility of amazing landscapes.
- Hike my way through the wilderness of nature.
- Walk the Earth with a camera.
- Grab the camera and take the most random photos ever to show everyone that life is beautiful simply because that's how our heart and mind see it.
- Gossip about Daddy with Mommy. Then laugh.
- Complain about guys with Sister. Then laugh.
- Swim like a human while still thinking that I look amazing like a mermaid.
- Languages as I believe that they aren't only a communication tool, but also the key to open the world of a culture that is completely different and wonderful.
- Sing along with my laptop and believe that I'll win a Grammy soon.
- Play the piano with lots of emotion and imagine myself being the main pianist of a world-renowned orchestra despite the fact that I'm not Beethoven.
- Organise events for friends and family and be their tour guide.
- Star gazing.
- Literature.
- Hitting the birdies with a racket.
- Jogging, which usually ends up to be more walking than jogging.
- The 7th art. Particularly those that give me an insight and widen my knowledge. And comedies too.
- Eat. Pray. Love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Over 24 years of life with equally over 24 countries visited, do you know what is the one most wonderful thing that I've ever experienced?

It wasn't les Champs-Elysées, nor Stanley Park, nor the Great Wall, nor la fondue suisse, nor Insa-dong, nor Indian dance, nor IKEA, nor Prague Old Town, nor Fontana di Trevi, nor Tết, nor Shibuya, nor Weihnachtsmarkt... They were great, but not the greatest.

It was the people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm still very young and have a lot to learn.

Thanks to my beloved family and God, I've had the opportunity to have seen so many things, experienced so many life events and met so many people.

There's one thing that I think I want to share the most:

Life isn't pink. Not at all.

In fact, it is white.

And it is you, the things that you decide to do, the people that you decide to let into your life, the memories that you decide to keep of which each represents a different shade of colour

that will paint your white canvas of life.

Whether it remains monotone or multi-colour,

it is YOU who have the power to colour that canvas the way you love it to be.

So live in a way that you will never regret.

You only live once.

Countries I’ve Visited

Countries I’ve Lived In
