About Me

Hey hey. I'm a child of the 90's, so I grew up on that era's culture. Appreciate variety in the world in terms of art, conversation, people, etc. Hiked out west a lot, worked for 2 years at the Grand Canyon, lived in LA for a month, drove back across the US, moved to Vietnam to start teaching after America had "an incident" in 2016(apologies, I tried to stop it), traveled to a few places in SE Asia, and hoping to make my way to Europe in the fall of 2019. Enjoy concerts, history, politics, art, love music/film, hiking, national parks, weird conversations/stand up comedy, animals, and uhhh thunderstorms... you get the gist. If you want to know anything then just ask.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Love traveling and it would be a great experience to meet others in the process of exploring new locations Ive always dreamed of visiting. The experience of my hosts could offer me great insight on how to appreciate the local point of view and will give me a chance to make some amazing memories. Its cool doing interesting stuff when traveling solo but having the chance to associate memories with certain people makes it a little more special.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything Hunter S Thompson, Bill Murray, Dave Chappelle, or Richard Pryor related,The Prophet by Khalil Gibran, The royal Tenenbaums, The big lebowski, Fargo tv series, Wilfred, Jon Oliver, MF DOOM, Jay Electronica, Tool, A perfect circle, Bonobo, Wax Tailer, Guts, Alfa Mist, Chopin, Bill Evans Trio, Ibeyi, Black Sabbath, Graham Hancock, orchestras, Nina Simone, Paul Mooney, Roberte Greene books, Spike Lee, and a plethora of other amazing pieces of art.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked all summer at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon to fund a trip to Amsterdam for the 2008 Cannabis cup plus a Slipknot concert and later worked at the South Rim for 16 months to save up for the move to Vietnam to start teaching.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach English or share any knowledge I've stolen from geniuses through their literature. Ive read some books in my time so I am somewhat educated on the strangeness of the world. Always appreciate sharing stories and experiences with new people to get a better understanding of myself and others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Not big on partying but would always enjoy someone to wander the city with checking out parks, animals, food, museums, concerts, stand up, or generally whatever adventure others are interested in. I try to be open minded and enjoy the experience or have a terrible time and laugh about it afterwards. I also try to be considerate and polite, especially as a house guest, so I can share my respect and appreciation for someone welcoming me into their home. Part of showing that appreciation would be sharing meals and good conversation if the host is interested.
