ABOUT ME

I am currently graduate student [in literature] enjoying life with the relationships I build around me. I have slowly been getting into the art/poetry/music scene. I like to host drum circles, play in a local band and perform (as well as attend) poetry events.

Fascinated by nature and in the tradition of the romanticists/transcendentalists, I look out to nature for inspiration.

Always eager to learn and share thoughts on most anything at a critical level. My spirituality is compassion. Student of life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None, I have had a couple of friends use it and it has been highly recommended. I plan on surfing in the future as well as host.

Music, Movies, and Books

Local music, live music, drum circles, etc.

I study literature, so I have a ton of "favorites." Some of my favorites are: Vonnegut, Ginsberg, McCarthy, Jeanette Winterson, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Whitman, Blake, Rushdie, Dickinson, and Shakespeare.

I am a big fan of jazz and blues (especially bebop). I have to say that I'll enjoy most music, particularly if it is live. I love going to live shows.

As far as films go, I would say I prefer comedies and "thinking movies." I'm pretty open for anything though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I performed one of my spoken word poems on the Brooklyn Bridge.

Teach, Learn, Share

Love for literature and poetry, I also like to play different percussion instruments and even a saxophone. I am always down to have a jam session.
