About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling to get inspiration on life

ABOUT ME

I am a quiet and reserved individual. However, I do try to break out of my shell sometimes and have been told to be "one of the nicest people you'll ever meet". I just finished a 6 month volunteer program - Katimavik and am just wandering around the East with my big suitcase. I love to travel and meet new people and decided to try couchsurfing to save a bit of money as well as to learn a different culture.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm very laissez-faire. I do everything in the spur of the moment. I have been said to be very mannerly and I believe that everyone should be so. I don't know. Just live life to the fullest because everyday is a risk and you never know what might happen in the future so don't take it for granted.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have requested to open up my parent's house for surfing but because I do live with them, they have declined and thus I don't any any place to offer up. However, I want to give back to the world of couch surfing, sooooo if you're in Vancity and you want someone as your tour guide, I'll be at your service. I'm a university student so depending on whether you come around exam time I may or may not be of service to you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CouchSurfing experience was in Sudbury, Ontario. I was there with 3 other friends as part of our 48 hours off from volunteering. Going into it I was a bit hesitant but coming out of it was the most memorable and wonderful experiences I have ever encountered. Our hosts were delightful and entertaining. We were not only able to explore the city but also able to integrate into their community and environment within the short period that we were there. They made the experience worthwhile :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like any music other than heavy metal. I'm an everything kind of person. Same with movies, I'll watch everything and anything. I'm not big on reading so bookwise, I have only been able to complete the Harry Potter series. Other than that, if I'm not expected to read it, I won't go out of my way to do so.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have lived and volunteered with 10 other people for 6 months. It really helped shaped me as a person and taught me about myself, my capabilities and my limitations.

Teach, Learn, Share

I recently learned how to make bread from scratch. If you want to learn how to make bread from scratch, I'd be more than happy to teach you :) I can also knit and make friendship bracelets. Those are things that I can think of from the top of my head, however if there's something that you'd like to learn that is not mentioned, feel free to ask me, maybe I can help.
