About Me
Hello! My name is Katson Horace — a proud son of Africa, born and raised in Uganda, shaped by East Africa, and refined by the world. I’m a father, a husband, a brother, an adventurer, and a storyteller at heart.
I grew up in a military family, which taught me discipline, resilience, and respect. Over the years, life has taken me across continents, working different jobs, meeting people from all cultures, and learning how powerful human connection is. I’ve collaborated on major entertainment projects, including Got Talent East Africa, and now I’m building my own story through entrepreneurship, hospitality, and community.
Today, I run a restaurant and bar in Kampala where we serve great food, support local farmers, and create a space where people feel at home. My life philosophy is simple: everywhere you go, treat people with respect and leave them better than you found them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe travel is less about where you go and more about who you meet. Hosting or being hosted allows you to see a city through the eyes of real people, not brochures. I enjoy cultural exchange, good conversation, new friendships, and learning how others see the world.
What I Can Share
East African hospitality
Stories from my travels and life in the entertainment & restaurant world
A taste of Ugandan culture, food, and music
Respect, cleanliness, and good vibes
Conversations about business, cooking, culture, family, and life
If you’re ever in Kampala, I’m happy to guide you, share meals, or point you to hidden gems tourists never find.
