About Me

hey Im Cian, pronounced key-in. Im from Dublin,Ireland where i grew up and have been traveling at every opportunity i get to places all around the world
I attended college in Dublin getting a degree in business and have since decided to discover the world rather than make a start on the career ladder.
At home I hang around with a tightly knit group of friends who help me to push myself in my own personal goals as well as the goals of the group.
please feel free to check out my friend Georges tumblr page which has followed our lives for the last few years as we have travelled around the globe.(http://theministryofmischief.tumblr.com)
and if you still haven't gathered enough information on me please by all means watch this mini doc about our skateboard business even if its just for the beautiful scenery. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoJCkD51BYo)
Im an outgoing person tho I may consider myself an introvert. I love to meet new friends and see new places along the way. I also love to chill out from time to time.
I prefer to stay in than go out and have good conversation over good drinks.

My home is the road and wherever I lay my head down.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

thats a good question. well I've been traveling for a few years now on/off and have only just begun to work my way into the CS community. Back in February 2016 I moved to Vancouver for a few months with a friend to work and begin another crazy adventure. Fast forward to August, we bought bikes and rode them from Vancouver-Costa Rica which was an amazing experience that has just ended(October 2016). My friend steve has gone home and Im heading to a wedding in India Late November so I'm going to the states to catch my flight. I have about 3 weeks to kill. So I'm going to see some friends and hopefully make some new ones thru CS.

I haven't ever travelled on my own before so this is new to me. I feel like CS is the best way to meet some cool people who i can swap stories with and enjoy each others company. I like to make real connections with people and not just meandering conversation, lets pick each others brains. the idea of having someone from the other side of the world let you stay in their home is ludicrous in a way, but it can lead to such great experiences and great stories. thats what I'm after
