About Me

Two ways to call my name-- in Mandarin is similar pronounce as CIAO; in Taiwanese as GAHOU.

Am Laid-back, easy-satisfied Taiwanese and always feel happy. Love to travel around just like the other backpackers. And love to experiment everything and try something new( healthy stuff of course). And not a nature-high person or party animal, but do enjoy the moment with friends or local nice guys:) Balance personality, often see things in different way. Actually, it's a pleasure to listen to the other's traveling funny things, jokes, stories and their cultural stuff. Love to share and listen.

Spent one year and jumped out of the "box" for an adventure in Germany and in Europe during 2013-2014, to discover the different side of world, to look for inspirations and to meet and to see new people, new culture, new food, new drinks and everything new!

Now am back to Taiwan, working as tour guide/ leader again. Always excited to plan another voyage from time to time!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Go Bungy Jumping (when I was in university) and choose Parachuting (when I did compulsory military) with a desperately Acrophobia. And the truth is... Phobia is always Phobia, it could never be overcame! Even now I couldn't stand normally when I close the edge of height... But at least, I've tried:)

2. Mistakenly use my finger to touch the electric fly zapper, it was terribly hurt :(

Teach, Learn, Share

-TEACH-
>> COOKING. In vocational senior high, my major was Food and Beverage. I could teach some Taiwanese/ Chinese dishes or Ciao's fantasy specialty.

>> LANGUAGE. Do you hesitate to learn Mandarin? Learning Mandarin is very easy and so chic;) My tips for foreign learners, it's different system so never use your mother-tongue-thinking to learn. And moreover, if you want to learn Mandarin, master first the four different tones! (e.g. 滴Dī, 敵Dí, 底Dǐ, 地Dì, they seem like the same, but they are four different meanings!) And don't think it's freaky difficult, cuz in Taiwanese, Cantonese, Hakka or even Vietnamese there're eight or nine tones in the same pronunciation:) Good luck and I'd love to teach you more if I could! For registration, let me surf by you and show me your interests ;)

>> SKETCHING. I love to draw or sketch something. Especially into Zen art.

>> Some TIPS for travelling to Asian cities. My job was Tour-leader/-guide for three years, and my specialty is Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand and my country Taiwan.

-LEARN-
>> LANGUAGE. German, French, English, Thai or your language? But I prefer to learn more about your dialects, just like in Taiwan, there're some dialects different than Mandarin. Dialect is geil!

>> EVERYTHING I DON'T KNOW. Especially in culture and jokes or stories, your life style... anything could easily evoke my curiosity!

-SHARE-
Travelling story, and every kind of funny things and everything in common:) And most important thing... Our Philosophy!
