About Me
I am new to couch surfing. I first signed up in 2016 but ended up not using it as I had a friend arrange a homestay with me, but I am back for 2021 and would love to finally experience this and offer my space to others. I just love what the community seems to bring to everyone involved. Not sure what to expect exactly, but looking forward to the experience in both hosting and being a guest. On top of all that has come with 2020 for the world, my dog recently passed, who was my everything, I've let go of work and obligations in order to travel, reset and eventually find what my next venture will be. I think that through this journey, I will find what i'm searching for?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I thought this would be a great way to meet new people and get more of a local's perspective of life in each city I travel to. Also, the economical benefit is amazing and I am excited to provide the same in my home when i'm in town. I do want to experience some well-known attractions, but i'd love to also be shown the things that the natives feel is special and worth exploration. What is unique from border to border? I love learning history about each city I visit. Personal stories from local's who's great grandparents told them and pass onto me is golden! I'd love to get involved in organizations that address issues in each country I visit. I am open to what my journey brings and excited for it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm sure many people on here have, but on two different occasions, i've left to a country I know nothing about and made my way around, solo, for 2 months at a time. Also, recently, I left my business, steady income and have no real plan as to what my next venture will be, but feel good about it...kinda...a little nervous, but confident.... kinda :-) I just knew that what I was doing in the states wasn't what I was meant to do forever. I think some change in environment, culture, people, reflecting, challenges, can help me arrive to my next destination.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be happy to teach English if desired. I've always loved working with people. I can learn to teach anything where I am as I have plenty of patience to go around. I am very interested in learning about the local communities I travel through and would love to help in any way, whether it be build something, teach something, learn and share the culture. I also make some pretty awesome vegan dishes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be a very considerate guest. I can help you with anything. Cooking, babysitting, I love the outdoors, so would love to share walks and conversation with you, but I am also comfortable with doing things on my own if you have a busy schedule or just prefer to offer a couch and not interact much. I can explore on my own, however, would love to be pointed in a suggested direction :-)
