ABOUT ME

First and foremost, I am a dancer and a writer. I am a person who cares exceptionally for other people, and I will do just about anything for the people I love. I work all the time at every job imaginable (right now, I have 5 paid and 3 unpaid jobs), and am constantly looking for ways to make what I do work more for me. At this point in my life, I am gathering as much information as I can about everything related to the arts, and trying to make enough money to pursue what I want to pursue. I am constantly filled with as sense of wonder for the world. If there is one thing everyone needs, it is a sense of amazement that pervades everyday life.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a liberal who believes in everything. I believe in EQUAL rights for EVERYONE. I believe in not having cognitive dissonance. I believe that religion and science can be the same thing at the very core (ask me about it!).

I'm an open book- I want to host, surf, be a tour-guide, or just hang out!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm still new to CouchSurfing, but I've met up with one person so far for an evening, and am planning to host someone over the summer. As my experience continues to grow, I'll have more to add!!

兴趣

My life right now is in a very long transition- the next step being a year out of the country, starting sometime next spring (2013). I am working lots of jobs this year to bolster my resume, and planning to do the same thing next year wherever I end up. I spend my time writing, getting sucked into the internet, and thinking of ways I could better use my time and how I can plan for the next big adventure.

Oh, boy.

Every moment I remember how much in love I can be with a special person. That's one.

Seeing Alvin Ailey's Revelations for the first time (and second time...). That's two.

Waking up on a beach that I arrived at after dark, and seeing the ocean with its waves practically licking the campground, so many yards closer than I could've know when we arrived in darkness. That's three.

I know words and I know movement- I know my body. I know what it's like to travel alone and explore places on foot and on the bus. I know what it's like to sleep in the back of a van when it's raining and in a tent when it's raining. I know how to make marshmallows (if I have the recipe). I know a little philosophy. I can talk politics and admit my ignorance on first-hand knowledge of religion. I like to experiment. I like to test all of the waters, and take little bites out of everything. I may not know an overwhelming about about anything, but I probably know a little bit about lots of things. I know how to be inspired, and I know how to see things with an open mind, an open heart, and open hands.
