Overview
About Me
Twenty-two year old international law with Mandarin Chinese student. Passionate about travel, cultural and language exchange, I have visited twenty countries across five continents during my course of study.
Further, for the past two years I have lived, worked and studied in the United States and Southern China.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The ethos behind my travelling could be summed up as "sustainability, integration and cultural immersion." It is my belief that the relationships developed when travelling, the exchange of ideas and culture and the insights into different ways of life are the most rewarding aspects of travel.
The Couchsurfing community provides an amazing opportunity to meet and engage with amazing people from across the globe and build these friendships.

Music, Movies, and Books
A lover of an eclectic mix of music, from hip-hop, soul and jazz to folk and traditional music. Listen to everything from the Kinks to the Fugees.
Generally consuming about a book a week, I am currently reading Hemingway's "Fiesta: The Sun Also Rises."
Can quote an inordinate amount of both 'The Road to El Dorado" and most any Tarantino movie.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living, working and studying mandarin in China for a year has undoubtedly been one of my most rewarding experiences to date. Living in a small, 'Tier 3' city has allowed me to engage in a previously unimagined level of cultural and language immersion. Getting to know the people, the culture, the language and the food has been incredible and has broadened my outlook and understanding of the world profoundly.
