About Me
Hi I'm Ciaran!
I'm a pretty easy going guy, I love making new friends and rarely meet anyone I don't like :)
Learning about new cultures and places is the most rewarding thing in the world for me, I find this planet endlessly interesting!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm between jobs and taking a sabbatical at the moment, so this year I plan to travel to as many countries as I can! I really love meeting local people and finding new and different perspectives on life. The couchsurfers I met back home seemed to be like minded people so I figured I'd give it a shot myself!
Interests
Making friends, making music, making food. Swimming, camping, partying, pretty much anything :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Sun kil moon, the flaming lips, leonard cohen, yo la tengo, would be the music I've listened to most over the years. Recently I've really been enjoying albums by the ocean party and the war on drugs.
I've always been a big fan of fantasy, Tolkien, Jordan, Lovecraft. I'm not super knowledgeable about classics but really clicked with Orwell and Hemingway. Lately I've been accumulating history books from my family, mostly Irish
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Let's look for more!
Teach, Learn, Share
Everything! I'm super keen to learn languages other than English, and can teach some English (with a rugged Australian accent of course!) in return. Maybe a little guitar as well if it takes your fancy. I'm not a great cook but I love to learn and practice
What I Can Share with Hosts
I make sure I'm always tidy and friendly! I'm happy to help out around the house or in the kitchen. I'm up for any activity that seems interesting, hopefully I can help make every otherwise ordinary day a little more fun :)
And hopefully make friends that will come visit back in far north Queensland!
