About Me

.ABOUT ME

Interested in design, music, travelling, and other more geeky things like programming :)

I've just moved back to Ireland after a stint in Calgary, Canada, and I'm working from home here for a Canadian software company. Got interested in the outdoors while living so close to the Rockies, so I want to start getting out on weekends to hike around Ireland

PHILOSOPHY

Strawberry Cheesecake.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a grand total of one time (crazy sarcastic french girl :P ), but I seem to have ended up good friends with that person because of it, so that's a success! I've also met some awesome people here in Calgary, between going paintballing, hiking, ice-skating, salsa dancing and more

Now that I'm going to have my own apartment, I've got the opportunity to start giving back and hosting more people, and I'm excited to see who I meet as a result!

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in movies makes me doubt that I'm a grown up :P - the first two that come to mind are Wall-E and How to Train Your Dragon (I have the soundtrack from this on my phone!)

Haven't been reading much fiction lately, but used to love Fantasy books (though I'm also a big fan of other stuff like Gulliver's Travels, The Kite Runner, 100 Years of Solitude etc).

The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman is also amazing - I read it all the day I bought it

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to Kenya by myself for 3 months (was volunteering there, but didn't go through any program, so basically just got on a plane and went), Climbed volcanos, took the wrong buses, got lost in Nairobi and at one point chased a handbag thief down a dark road at night - he escaped over a wall into a wildlife preserve!

Teach, Learn, Share

Anybody out there want to learn some Irish??? :)

I promise it's a useful language! :P

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, Kenya, United Kingdom, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
